Muuto Design Competition 2024
PIN was developed for the Muuto Design Competition 2024 and explores a simple, functional approach to an everyday domestic object. The design focuses on clear form, material honesty, and practical use, drawing from Scandinavian design principles while fitting naturally into contemporary living spaces.
Pin is designed to be simple, elegant, and playful. Its pointed bottom encourages users to interact easily by spinning or kicking the chair. The design lets users turn quickly and create unique spaces. In a children's museum, kids can move Pins to fit their size, allowing them to sit, read, chat, and gather while enjoying the colorful, rocking chairs.
Pin has a unique 4-way design that lets you use it in different ways. You can sit on it, use it as a footrest, or make it a low table. Its sloped edges make it fun and adaptable, allowing it to fit various seating styles and settings.
